WHO IS AN OUTSIDER ?

 According to Wikipedia   ……Outsider often refers to one identified as on the periphery of social norms, one living or working apart from mainstream society, or one observing a group from the outside, as used in:

• Outsider Art, created by artists working outside the mainstream art world
• Outsider music, composed or performed by musicians working outside the musical mainstream

   So an outsider has the following traits:

•    He/She works outside the mainstream
•    He/She observes the world from outside
•    He/She is a non-conformist

    

    …..but by no stretch of imagination….an outsider is a no-gooder !

                In fact……an outsider USUALLY provides the main stream with the so called PRACTICAL TIPS for living a more meaningful life !!!

 

WHO IS A ‘CREATIVE MISFIT’ ?

 

                                   ” WHO IS A CREATIVE MISFIT”

 

                         When we do not understand something

                                                                   ….we call it absurd

                                  and what doesnt seem ‘normal’

                                           and what is surely unheard…..

                                 then we call all these….

                                           as strange things…..or misfits…or odd !

                                  for ….what is not easily understood

                                 is either shunned….or worshipped as GOD!

                                         

                                            

MAVERICK POETRY

It was a rat race…we all know

        but now it is a race of the mice !

when we want to be known as ‘net savvy’

                    we click the mouse …how nice !!!

……..   but one who is a true maverick

                       he simply knows the trick ……….

                 he would use the mouse to pick

                               some different  sounding music !!

                                 so… come on all mavericks

                               I am waiting for your ‘right’ clicks !!!

WHO IS AFRAID OF CHANGE ?

This is a question that has baffled me…..but the ‘mature majority’ has always dismissed this….as a no brainer !!!

While it is obvious (is it?) that a status quo is the most comfortable perch….but then a lot of people (read majority) claim that they would like to change….that they would stagnate if the status quo is maintained !

Who is this majority that claims an apathy towards status quo ?

This mass of ‘wise’ people could be in any of the following :

POLITICS

EDUCATION/ACADEMICS

SOCIOLOGY

PSYCHOLOGY

HOLISM (whatever this implies)

But then do these ‘wise’ people act against the staus quo ?

…….”HOW CAN I ALONE FIGHT THE SYSTEM ?”……

Have you heard of this before …?

Exactly !!!  These are the standard arguments !

But then the question….that I started out with…still remains un answered….

….or MAYBE…we should rephrase the question as “WHY ARE WE AFRAID OF CHANGE ?”

IS CHANGE ALWAYS DANGEROUS ?

HI FRIENDS (MAVERICKS):

There is an old saying:

“There is a danger in reckless change…but there is even more danger in blind conservatism !!!”

I for one totally support this idea….although the purists might argue that it is a RADICAL THOUGHT PROCESS !

But then….only radical ideas can bring forth a meanibgful REDEFINING of norms of society…

…… We dont have to re invent the wheel….but we can surely re engineer a more effective process ….so that the wheels of life move with more ease,grace,efficiency …….and humanness !

….what are your views ?

                ………..who is a maverick ?

                     can we easily pick ???

                                     one who is not afraid

                                                to call a spade a spade !

                                        …..and the one who does not follow

                                 rules…..simply if they are hollow !!!

                    …………..and the one who creates anew

                and yes ! mavericks in this world are

                                                            VERY FEW !!!!!!!

WHY RE BELL ?

It is re bell….not rebel !!! I am sure you would have noticed……

We have all heard of belling the cat…….

Now we have to think of REBELLING the cat…..

….and the CAT here is a personification of all old isms….ideologies and belief systems…..that are dragging us down …..

….let us REDEFINE LIFE …. RECREATE LIFE ….that is CREATIVE and FREE…..not tied down by the ‘honourable’  heavyweights like CUSTOMS…ETHOS….TRADITION etc. etc.

So let us rebell…..and if we have to….let us rebel !!!
